Regarding the FxOS-specific parts that are known to be discontinued
(marketplace, etc...) I agree that archival is the best option.

For the rest and specifically the build instructions, tech docs, etc...
I think it would be best to wait until we have some clarity about what
we'll do with the actual components.

If the existing code can be streamlined and moved forward so that it
becomes a toolkit for others to build their own web-based OSes on top -
possibly with default apps taken out of gaia - then that material will
be important, and it will be paramount that we update it if we want the
project to be contributed to and actively developed. This would
obviously imply that we need to "de-brand" all the relevant pages since
it won't be called Firefox OS anymore as you point out in your document.

If on the other hand we're just dropping everything and walking away
then there would be no point in maintaining it as nobody will be able to
pick up the project without help and support from within Mozilla.

Unfortunately, there's absolutely no clarity on this aspect at this
point and in the light of recent communications I'd tend to lean on the
latter being the case rather than the former.
