Hi Benjamin I will try to play a little bit the devil's advocate here!
How does this go together with the future, trying to disrupt a new domain, basically the IoT speech that we got from the Connected Devices team and the present where the tablets are declining year after year and generate very little interest in the eyes of the consumers? Not to forget that these people already have very performant tablets with millions of apps already! And even so these more capable products either gather dust or are mostly left to the kids to play with... In my eyes this idea targets an even smaller amount of people than the phone idea which Mozilla killed and which really had a crowd behind from the community. Phones are cool, tablets are not! Tablets are devices without a clear scope. All of my friends bought them as an impulse buy and like I said they now either gather dust at home or their kids play on them. They check the news and instagram and facebook on their phones, which are now big enough and much more portable.
