I have seen the Envelope Protocol Not Supported error too, along with a
plethora of other errors ("Unrecognized message format", "Unable to
establish socket", "Unrecognized Peer", "Authentication Failed"), in the
past few days and months.
We have been registering 100-200 domains a month for the past year, so I
wouldn't say it's a problem in our code.
And opensrs support hasn't helped in the past, so I don't really see any
point in spending time on convincing people about the problems I am
experiencing. I end up spending time on workarounds instead.
As much as we dislike netsol, the horizon reliability problems are
making our management consider the netsol $17 offer.
Perhaps OpenSRS staff should work a bit more on consolidating existing
services before launching new ones? (we still don't use certificates,
.biz or .info, for example)
