The plan that has been outlined involves a staged approach, with new JavaScript features being withheld after some date, followed by a period during which select older JavaScript features are gradually removed. I'll note that actually turning off http isn't part of the outline. Most importantly, all of these steps are to be taken at dates that are still under discussion. You can be part of that discussion.
