But does the German registry allow the registration of IDNs with Greek characters in?

No, the "beta" thing was just to describe the character to those who already had seen it somewhere, but don't know its name and it doesn't get displayed right. My problem is the "n with dot below" ("Latin small letter n with cedilla"). According to the policy it is allowed, but I (and probably most other germans) never saw that character before. So if I saw "postbank" written with the weird n, I would assume its a normal n with dirt on the screen.

Anyone - preferably someone considered "trusted" so he doesn't get into trouble for a "suspected phishing attempt" - wants to test if they can register postbank.de with the fake n in practice (and maybe get a ssl cert for it)? I am not going to try it as I am not interested in wasting time answering annoying questions to clueless police officers while my hardware rots away in their evidence vault ;-)
