I agree for every single points! In my past I've worked in close-sourced companies with SVN as the king of the hill and I'm relatively new to the Git (and Github world, but now is really impossible to think to go back. I've found its usage so well structured and time to time simpler (Github is a moving target around dev needs!) interact with the other developers or work in isolation when necessary... It is only an opinion based on my personal experience but I'm hoping will help :)
