This is a great idea (both - Hacktoberfest and Pycon DE). I actually got my
Hacktoberfest T-shirt last year by contributing to Airflow :).

We will need to enable Github Issues in the project if we should follow
that (this is not technically needed but then people won't find the issues
through the Hacktoberfest issue discovery mechanisms).

@Sergio Kefalas <sergio...@gmail.com>  I think there is no "usual" way -
each community is different :).

Proposal - maybe it's best if we make a request #random channel in
Airflow's Slack (https://apache-airflow-slack.herokuapp.com/) to ask people
to point out some issues that are simple.

Also we have quite easy first-time-contributor environment setup (see
CONTRIBUTING.md and BREEZE.rst in the project) so it should be fairly
straightforward to start hacking.
