Good catch Jens! The issue actually came from https://github.com/apache/airflow/pull/55677. There is a fundamental misunderstanding of the helm chart release process there. We only generate the "final" assets for the helm chart, and vote on those - there is no separate "production" and "rc" builds, they are always "production" builds. This is different from core/providers/etc where we do build both and the "rc" builds end up on pypi.
We could evolve the chart release process to do something similar, but it's more involved than replacing some urls. Also, that PR didn't env up even changing the links in the src tarball because 1) it didn't write the updated chart yaml to disk and 2) even if it did, git archive doesn't consider the worktree. :shrug: I'll sort out the commands next week.
