this is really a problem...
at least when comparing a specialized tool (ArgoUML) with a generic tool (a
drawing package)

it would be nice to compare ArgoUML GUI with other tools and improve ours.
but I also agree that localized changes in the current gui are better than
redesigning it from scratch...
