Hello!
The question about this is how we split the responsibility for such packages
i.e. what is the delivery from the ArgoUML project.

I have previously gotten the feeling that there is a separate community
around debian that fetches the source and creates a release. This means that
we, the argouml developers, shall not attempt this. On the other hand,
anyone could probably volunteer to be the argouml maintainer for debian and
rpm, join the debian community and make packages. Perhaps this is something
for you Dave?

I just checked and saw that rpm is available in cygwin so it should be
possible to run this in the current windows/cygwin release building
environment. Aptitude or apt* is not, however so I will assume the build
will have to be performed on a Linux host and the integration with my
current build scripts will be complicated. It is probably better to build
such packages from source using scripts for that purpose.

        /Linus
