Hi,

I seriously mistrust any such survey results. I'd be interested in
knowning more about the survey and its mechanics but I am skeptical OOo
file format penetration is so high.
The study (I still have to find that link) was published on a supposedly "serious" web site, the CMP Asia Network.
Of course, I speak of file format. StarOffice, StarSuite, OOo, RedOffice (maybe) use the same file format, as of course do the legion of claimants. It'd be nice to be assured that OOo file format is really gaining such ground, but until we start seeing a decided public preference with companies and gov'ts for OOo.....
Of course it is a surprizing result. But I guess that a lot of these derivatives have set the default saving of
documents on the MS Office format. At least if they weren't doing it we would already be aware of these facts and figures by the number of OOo documents travelling around the Net.
Charles.
