I'll clarify some points.

OOo certainly benefits from having the full community participate in
getting things done, provided that participation is organized. Most of
the projects in Incubator were initiated by non-Sun people, fwiw, though
not at all. It doesn't make much of a difference in terms of the logic
of the project whether the lead is a Sun person or not; or whether the
project was initiated by someone from Sun or not. It is not the goal of
the project to replace leads of projects who happen to be Sun employees
with those who are not; nor to drive the leadership of the project to
non-Sun employees. It is the goal of the project to ensure that
collaboration between all parties takes place.

BizDev has a somewhat uncertain portfolio, as the distinction between
BizDev and Marketing is not that clear. That's one reason why this
project tends to be rather low key. However, we do have some things we
need to work on that are of real importance. I refer to the case
studies, ISV integration, and so on (see the to-dos on the BizDev
homepage, <http://bizdev.openoffice.org/>).

I hope I have addressed your query.

Best,
Louis
