Hello Adam,

What sort of scale of OOo.org implementation would you be aiming at?

Whatever Justin tells me to ;-) I'm pretty new at this (it's my first day!), but I understand that SMBs are a primary target segment. I'll ask Justin. Thank you for asking good questions.

My feeling on this is we should aim to achieve a good size mix of OOo Case Studies across various industry groups, rather than thinking of size first.

Along the lines of:

 + Industry group: Government

   Size: Local council/shire/etc
Size: City council, or department of
Size: State government, or department of
Size: Country/national Government, or division (?) of

+ Industry group: Education

   Size: A school
   Size: A group of schools
   Size: State wide adoption
   Size: National adoption

+ Industry group: Non-Profit organisation

Size: A small non-profit (up to ie. 10 people)
Size: A larger non-profit, perhaps specific to a city or state
   Size: National non-profit organisation
Size: International non-profit organisation (i.e. Amnesty
         International type of size, etc)

+ Industry group: Telecommunications

Size: Small, perhaps start-up, telecom company (ie. Skype, etc?)
Size: City sized telcom company (do they exist?)
   Size: State specific telecom company
   Size: National carrier

These are just examples, and I'm pretty sure others spring to mind quickly (i.e. Financial Services, Retail, etc as I think mentioned by Andrew recently).

Probably a good idea to do a few "easier" one's first (places keen to assist and displaying patience for you to learn/develop the process with), then getting onto the potentially more challenging ones after that.

After getting a hang of the process and with visible end results (finished case studies online), it should be easier to encourage other companies/groups/etc to participate.

Adam, what kind of industry grouping would you put your social workers into?

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift
