I repeat my offer to help on the definition of a simple policy that would

And I accepted your offer. Guess I wasn't clear. Let's get to work on this
list. But let's change the subject heading :-)

Given the current course of the discussion, I prefer to let the actual
developers
take this further and define the policy (it's your work and code, not mine ...).

Once a policy is established by the project, I am prepared to help in
implementing (hopefully together with some other persons) the very
minimalistic action of:

* for the European entries on the "consultants" page
* check if the entry is a web-site (not an e-mail pointer)
* check if that web site is technically up-and-running
* check if the content of that web site seems relevant
to OO.o; StarOffice.org; ODF or related items
* report the result of that research back to this list

I prefer not to be involved in any scheme that involves money,
judging the right to be listed based on code contribution or
judging the right to be listed based on the quality of the delivered
services to end-users.

I fully respect if the project decides to use criteria other than my
minimalistic criteria, but that goes beyond what I want to be
involved in at this time (my proposal was really only a very
minimalistic and quick clean-up of the large amount of obvious
errors on the list, hopefully later-on implemented in some
recurring automated script).

I hope you can respect my wish to stick to this minimalistic
approach.

I expect I will not have to contribute further to this discussion
until a policy has been established by the project.

Thanks for taking up this discussion,

Peter
