Not sure, but wouldn't Upayavira's I18n matcher (http://archives.real-time.com/pipermail/cocoon-devel/2004-July/035118.h tml) be the kind of thing that could be useful in VSC? I suspect it could be reimplemented as an action, but I perhaps he could respond to both questions...
