dedicating a releease is the worst idea i've seen on this mailing-list since a long time. Couchdb is the a result of a team and community work. dedicating a work will just split more people and is prone to conflict.
I you want to put a name then choose a charayers,animal, ie something neutral. Anything else woul be just politic and has nothing to do with marketing.
