Hi Pink,
Sounds like you have an outdated version of the sphinx_rtd_theme
and possibly Sphinx.
Try running `sudo pip install -U Sphinx sphinx-rtd-theme` and
try running the docs build again.

problem installing on Ubuntu 16.04
used the following steps:
