Yes, this is a known situation -- and means you didn't fully follow the setup instructions correctly.... :D http://docs.couchdb.org/en/latest/setup/index.html We can suppress the error, but it doesn't solve the problem that a CouchDB install without a _users db doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.
