which always made me think why the Dialog Editor does not drag&drop controls with predefined size (and then the user resizes it), instead of first drawing them [by the way, there are no drawing helpers like grid, guides, etc may be this is easy to implement]. Netbeans IDE and Qt Deigner, among others, drag & drop by default.
