My how this discussion has brought people out of the woodwork that havn't spoken in a while...

In any case, forum or list, I think (just proposing an idea here) that we could split the distribution dev (cdrom, p2p etc) from the mirror admin. Since these two are rather different from my perspective and if people want both then they can subscribe. I personally don't mind getting the odd email about broken links on the website etc etc but the main reason I voted for a forum earlier was because it would free my inbox from mirror updates. And I'm sure there are people in the other position who are sick of our p2p updates ;)

And for our dev discussion format, I have no real preference, as long as I can get forum digests or whatever sent out when new posts are made.
