Hi,

in the last week I tried to get the howto first steps in impress
into the wiki. The first step (saving in format mediawiki) were for
normal text with OOo very easy.
Because there are many screenshots etc. inside the original howto
the next steps were very timeconsuming. I had to extract images,
save them local and uplaod them. Then I need to edit the source of
the howto in the wiki manual. I had to set every link to an image,
set frame with description around the images etc.
My experience with this first document is, that the transport to the
wiki is especially for docs with many graphics a time consuming
work and I think it needs many people to finish that work (if there
is not a more technical way).
Another point: If I want to put also the corresponding german
version of this howto into the wiki (especially for testing the
functionality of linking to lang-versions), which URL should I use?
I linked the international (english) version under:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/How_Tos/First_Steps_in_Impress2

Regards,
Andreas
