Hi Martijn, Thanks for bringing up this topic. I think it would be great to release a patch version of 1.14 before the end of the year.
Currently, FLINK-24596 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FLINK-24596> is in progress and I would block the release until it is merged because it unblocks several use cases by our users. I think the ticket is done by the end of this week.
