I have just tried it on Solaris with OOo3.0.1 ( OOO300_m15 ), and it works well by me.
oops, sorry, I'm using OOO310_m8, can you reproduce it there?
By the way am I right with my understanding that the problem is reproducible by you with any writer document having nonstandard extension?
yes, or ods, but I think I tested odt as well as ods(no access to Solaris right now)
