Cool stuff [~antiguru]! Yeah supporting different versions of hadoop is quite a
big challenge in all hadoop related projects.
I agree with you on the second option i.e. switching to Hadoop2 and use shims
layers to access Hadoop1. So as you said, we should move into Hadoop2 first
and then get the shims layers for Hadoop1, so we will have to revisit the
patches once we are in hadoop2 right?
What do you think guys [~mikebern], [~hsaputra], [~lewismc]?
