Hi Xuefu, yes this patch has gotten pretty large. I think it's at a point where
we can stop the work on this Jira (after I check in some additional tests I
have been working on), and additional work can be added as sub tasks, such as
support for additional SerDe's. I don't think the current progress can be
easily split into smaller patches - perhaps the JDBC changes might be able to
pulled out, but everything else needs to go in at the same time to work
coherently.
