Actually, there is nothing wrong with that -- especially with
libtool 1.4, it makes sense to have only libtool script,
because it is not preconfigured to build certain types of
object files. It can be used by all included libraries,
because you can tell libtool on the command-line whether it
should build an object file which is suitable for an archive
or a DSO.
