I cant tell you since I dont know your config, but it seems something's missing in your config; and the log confirms what I assumed: pics are not getting served, and timeout + logging cause the delays. probably you did test as root, and now the server cant access nor generate/overwrite these pics; try to delete the pics, and let the server generate new ones... greets, Guen.
