I just had a meeting with Alex and Tibor and we agreed to perform the migration targeting quarkus 3.2 which is the LTS version of quarkus. The main reason for this is that quarkus is still a moving target and keeping our stuff aligned with the latest quarkus available (classloading is a constant pain for instance) could become a time draining effort that we couldn't be able to sustain on the long term given our limited resources. For now we can keep the old migrated branches just for reference, but I will redo the migration of the drools project against quarkus 3.2 on a separated branch. I have something else to finish today so I will start working on this 1st thing tomorrow morning, and I expect that other downstream projects will follow as well. For the rest it is confirmed that we will target java 17 and this should make our life easier. Note that thanks to Jan's work jenkins is already building against it. Sorry for the duplicated effort, hopefully the biggest part of what we did for quarkus 3.5.2 will remain still valid and unchanged also for quarkus 3.2. Please feel free to ping me if you have any questions on this.
