OK so we might need a 3. category containing words which are to be
ignored. But I thought the same for the en-US version but there are
still some words missing. Some of them are Product specific but should
still be in the dictionary, some I don't know why they are not in.

I'm afraid that Laci (who maintains the English dictionary) has hardly
any time for updating. We couldn't find anyone to regularly maintain the
spellchecking dictionary for English at lingucomponent, and that's
pretty bad for this case. This dictionary should be more actively updated.
can hunspell use the OOo dictionaries in all languages (Sorry for my

yes, no problem with that, it's just the same prog but only on the
command line
Another problem would be that the XML tags are escaped in the sdf files
changing a <LINK> to \<LINK\> (and also changing \< to < to ease
translation)
but it would work for the UI (after \n and ~ removal)
Well, we can unescape it easily before feeding into hunspell.
just for configure? you can get a solver tarball and do not have to
build yourself AFAIK.
well, I need a working C++ compiler, don't I? I have one in cygwin, but
gcc could misbehave during configure in cygwin, I'm afraid... Oh well,
I'll see.
Maybe there is even an .sh script available to set some environment
variable to do it.
I'll check this possibility as soon as I have some free time.
