I think extra read-only ignorable info is fine. Which leaves us with two
choices for the GET request:
* For 'latest' partitions, only return full_spec, and for others, only return
spec partitioned in time and non-time specs
* Return full spec always, and try populating time and non time spec, populate
if possible.
I feel the first choice is cleaner because if right filters are specified, GET
returns same thing as what was POSTed or PUT.
On the other hand, second choice maintains consistency in some sense, that full
spec is always returned.
I'm more inclined towards the first choice. Would love to hear more thoughts.
