HI again
some more points about dxitionaries
regarding packaging, dictionaries and packs are strutured teh same (a
pack contains multiple dictionaries archives point on multiple language
subsets)
i would like to refactor this, having the same content for both langpack
and dictionaries
this lead to a question of the package manager:
How can we choose the language we want to associate to a dictionary ?
eg. in French, we have multiple associatiins <language> <countries>
fr FR
fr BE
fr CH
fr CA
fr LU
fr MC
...
But mainly the all point on fr_FR.dic file
(this is even more obvious for spanish)
due to OOo architecture, we need to associate a a dictionary to that
couple language-country in dictionary.lst (that shoulod also be
refactored and use legacy xcu files)
we can't afford setting all combinations due to memory consumption (or
can we ?)
I've no solution for the moment unless encapsulating the package manager
inside a DicOOo-like, activating the associations needed
technically this is not that hard but we have to think to end-user.
They already complain to post-intall dictionaries even if it is rather
straightforward with DicOOo; We should avoid adding more steps and
required knowledge
Thanks a lot
Laurent
