I thought they had done so by restricting the type you can call in
<cfobject> and createObject() so you can limit usage to only CFC for
example?

I only caught the last 10 minutes as I got the times wrong. And I was
disappointed to hear MM still have not addressed the security issue with the
service factory and thus are still pretending CF is not use din a shared
hosting environment.

For those that went, what did you think about the whole affair?
Once again we were made to sit through things we didn't, at
first anyway, care too much about. The Flex talk was nothing
I haven't heard before but it was a nice reminder about it.
Captivate was interesting, I haven't looked at RoboDemo so I
don't know if Captivate is a huge improvement but I really
liked what I saw. Here's a nice sample

I think Ben is an excellent speaker. You really get the
feeling it's him talking and not Macromedia or am I just
being naive? He talks fast so he gets a lot in and he cares
less about running out of time than anyone else I've seen
talk. Always a good thing when it's something you're interested in
:O)
