Ok I've been playing around with it and its definetely nice, the way you can

And cfeclipse is a very nice plugin

But I'm sure I understand why people would use it over Homesite+, which is
more or less custom built for HTML/CF development, apart from what neil was
saying about having everything in the same place.

Any thoughts?

If you're happy with homesite... stick with it. If you're interested in being able to create/request your own features and *not* have to worry about an 18 month upgrade cycle with MM, then go with CFEclipse. Personally, it's a better ide (in that it doesn't crash/die/etc) and it has very good CVS integration (which I particularly like and is SERIOUSLY lacking in DWMX).

If you like being able to do designs in Homesite/DW then stick with that too. Tbh I've never been one for using wysiwyg tools for HTML development (except on occasion at the start of a project). That *is* lacking in eclipse (I could be wrong) but it's not like it's necessary for development (certainly not for me)!

Don't forget that eclipse can pretty much work with any language and do lots of funky things via the plugins. It's not *just* a cf editor. I use it for all code development, Java (with ant plugin - v. useful), CF, ASP (yuck), .NET, etc
