I agree!

All profiles should support sensors to improve the user experience to justify
them as smart devices.

For example a few well known sensors like Proximity, Temperature, Light sensors
could be used in any device to
provide improved user experience.

Another important consideration is in an IoT scenario, sensors have a very
important role to play and when Tizen
ecosystem starts supporting IoT in the future, sensor framework would be needed
for sensor management.

Ram

Title : Re: [Dev] merge sensord into Tizen:common

Hi, Dominig.

As Mr Park mentioned, sensor can be used in not only mobile device but also the
other profiles.
although some profiles are no sensor now, the possibility that sensors is added
is high in an afterward.
they can enhance a user experience and a convenience on all profiles.
ie. i think some application can use a proximity sensor on all profiles for
sensing whether the something is closed or not.

in conclusion, it would be better to apply sensord to Tizen:Common.

Thanks.
Kibak.

Title : Re: [Dev] merge sensord into Tizen:common

Hi Dominig,

The sensord/sensor framework is highly used on mobile and wearable
profiles. I think the sensord can be used TV and IVI profiles because
they will have the sensors to recognize surroundings. As I know,
vehicles already have several sensors. Thus, IVI might extend its
functionality to treat them in the near future:)
