Hi all, I managed to finish the download, after cloning and copying toolchain-x86 and message-port-dbus, which were the two other modules that failed to download after crosswalk.
Thanks Jian-Feng! I did clone crosswalk, and had it in .repo/projects/platform/framwework/web, then I copied the contents of the .git directory into crosswalk.git as some of the folder structure looked the same. At the time, I wasn't sure if that was the way to do things. Anyway, I seemed to have got past the issue this weekend, but now have the same issue with pre-built/tooclchain-x86. I'm not sure what you mean by "please move the cloned copy into ‘repo’ tool’s cache and modify the ‘origin’ pointer.", especially about modifying the origin pointer, so can you clarify that part please. Many thanks for your help so far. The git cloning issues we have encountered several times before for network connection stability reasons, but frankly we have no silver bulletin for it also. Currently, it seems you only have trouble with the HUGE crosswalk git tree, I hope you can try to access this link to clone it manually: https://git.tizen.org/cgit/platform/framework/web/crosswalk.git/ (plain cgit hosting, might be more stable) And if you can clone it successfully, please move the cloned copy into ‘repo’ tool’s cache and modify the ‘origin’ pointer. thanks - jf.ding On Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 1:41 AM, Michael Johnson wrote: Hi all, I'm now back to trying to get a clone of the Tizen source using GBS, and I'm still having the same problems as listed in the text file I uploaded in the original email. I have tried both ssh and https methods with and without proxy, and I still get stuck cloning crosswalk. Who is the person I should be talking to, to get some ideas? Dominig can you point me to the right person? I'm going to try the method for downloading one package in the mean time, and see what happens. I'll update with success or failure. I never got to the bottom of the issue and it disappeared after some time (a few weeks). In my case, I was only seeing that when attempting a sync from my home office but it was OK if I was running this from the Intel office in Kontich. IIRC, one thing that worked all along was using HTTPS instead of SSH as described here https://source.tizen.org/documentation/developer-guide/getting-started-guide/cloning-tizen-source (section 3).
