[~rosher] maybe then a first good step here would be if you could write a
failing unit test that demonstrates that "alternateTermCount" does not work as
intended with FileBasedSpellChecker. The second step would be to fix this
existing feature to work and thus make the new unit test pass. If you can
start with the unit test, I might be able to help with fixing the bug it
demonstrates.
