The original term only gets added if alternativeTermCount >0 and docFreq > 0 
but for e.g.  FileBasedSpellChecker [what we're using] the determineReader() 
returns null and so docFreq set to zero, hence orig term not added.

But in the collator should this not depend on whether the word is correctly 
spelt  rather than docFreq >0 ?  as the best candidates are done by the 
collator.
