The only real remaining issue here is how to handle the langdetect jar in 
Solr's langid contrib.  The solution in ivy works fine (specifying the location 
of the jar) except I don't think you can do the same thing in Maven, which 
stumps our Maven releases a little.  For some people that isn't an issue, but 
I'd like to see it solved.  Does anybody know of how to do something similar in 
Maven?

The other alternative is to get the language-detection project to make an 
actual release.  It is possible to simulate a repo in a googlecode project.  
But I'm unsure how to go about getting the project maintainer to do that?
