According to Ohloh, the stats for Lucene and Solr are: Lucene Committers active within the past month: 13 Committers active within the past year: 29 Solr Committers active within the past month: 9 Committers active within the past year: 29 For just under 40 committers and the volunteer nature of OpenSource, those numbers look pretty good!
