I resolved the dependency issue on the branch, with the caveat that the
dependency is now on 4.0.0-BETA, because nobody has pushed 4.0.0 to Maven yet.
I presume that will be dealt with at some point in the near future?
The next step is to fold the new code into the old Solr connector.
