Mmm I completely agree that this can help also other connectors so can be
intelligent to put it outside the Solr Connector itself.
But on the other hand I also would like to keep the things simple, because
maybe not all the users are so expert to add that metadata transformer, but all
of them would like to avoid the empty fields to arrive to the Output Connector.
So, only thinking loudly, as I can not see how someone would like to index
empty fields, will be more reasonable to move this blank filtering outside the
solr connector, but in a transparent user way ?
