There is a marketing maxim "never mention the opposition". We have to embrace 
it at least in Marketing.

Could it have something to do with (a) the subject line of this thread - a
thread you started and named, (b) the document you addressed that
specifically and by-name-of-the-document compares OOo to, or (c) that
Microsoft Office is the most widely used, best selling, and
what-brand-people-think-of suite of office software for the last decade or
more - and therefore our #1 competitor both for market share and mind share?
