Hi Sophie,

We had, long time ago, this kind of conferences to organize the localization process. Rafaela was organizing them. I think it's quiet effective because reactions and decision are quickly made, but there are some difficulties: - depending on where you are located, the communication may be difficult. For l10n, I was in Africa and the conversation was made of holes and echo making it difficult to follow. It might be different with SIP, I don't know - language, it's more easy to read than to speak when you're not fluent with English and the different accents (mine for example is horrible ;) may complicate the comprehension.

thanks for sharing this experience! Yes, I agree, it might not be feasible for anyone. There are also other limiting factors like time(zones) that prevent people from using this service. The other point is, how many people actually would use it. We should check that first before spending money. I doubt anyone actually used the wiki page I compiled :-)

That's a good idea. I'm currently thinking of a mechanism to enhance the inter-project communication also. I think we could take advantage of a better communication between says l10n/QA/Documentation for example.

Agreed! That could also be done via Skype or IRC, depending on what we need. This is cost-effective for anyone.

Florian
