Hi folks, I'm curious what the status of the maven-surefire-plugin
is wrt TestNG.
Appears that version 2.2 of the plugin is not happy, and the docs
( http://testng.org/doc/maven.html ) here suggest that version 2.8-
SNAPSHOT from this repo http://howardlewisship.com/repository
should be used.
I tried and this does work... but I'm wondering when these changes
will make it into an official maven-surefire-plugin release. The
version in plugins is also set at 2.3-SNAPSHOT, which is a tad
confusing.
Does anyone know?
I did the Jar plugin last week, and I think I will tackle the
Surefire plugin next week. The Surefire plugin is one of the biggies
on the list and John is working on the Assembly plugin. So I will be
able to put a couple hour each day into doing some work but I'll need
to catch up on the current set of patches. I know that a few people
were having problems with TestNG and lots of folks are clamouring for
the Junit4 stuff.
Thanks,
Jason
