Yeah, I had started to look at some of the patches a little while back and got overwhelmed quickly by other stuff again. It looks like Fabrizio has picked off some in the last week though.

I'll review the commits at the least.

Hi folks, I'm curious what the status of the maven-surefire-plugin is wrt TestNG.

Appears that version 2.2 of the plugin is not happy, and the docs ( http://testng.org/doc/maven.html ) here suggest that version 2.8- SNAPSHOT from this repo http://howardlewisship.com/repository should be used.

I tried and this does work... but I'm wondering when these changes will make it into an official maven-surefire-plugin release. The version in plugins is also set at 2.3-SNAPSHOT, which is a tad confusing.

Does anyone know?

I did the Jar plugin last week, and I think I will tackle the Surefire plugin next week. The Surefire plugin is one of the biggies on the list and John is working on the Assembly plugin. So I will be able to put a couple hour each day into doing some work but I'll need to catch up on the current set of patches. I know that a few people were having problems with TestNG and lots of folks are clamouring for the Junit4 stuff.

Thanks,

Jason
