If this is not an edict for releases I really do not see the point of manually making a bunch of svn repository and manually copying a bunch of stuff around when the staging repository in Nexus works perfectly fine. It's error prone, as all manual copying things are, we don't do this for other releases so I assume this is not an official requirements. If it is acceptable by official guidelines I would like to leave them in the Nexus staging repository and not copying a bunch of stuff around. For the final release I will do the SVN dist stuff but honestly doesn't seem to add much value for the interim releases and I would rather be consistent with the other releases that don't do this. > " > The goal is to commit candidate release to svn tree > https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/dev/maven/maven-3/$VERSION.
