Some other projects @asf do as it so I copied this procedure.
At the end you will need to do it for the distribution part.
Again you're the rm so it's your choice.
Procedures can be not perfect, in such case they can be
updated/modified. That just need to be documented.
So if you want to remove this part from the release process just
update the documentation.
And that will avoid this waste of time for all.
