We can proceed since we have 3+ VOTES from IPMCs: hsaputra, mfranklin, arvind, nslater. 3. We actually need to create release branch instead of just tag to make sure we could release maintenance versions. So please do that first off the 4.0.0 tag. 4. Copy release artifacts to ASF dist branch: http://www.apache.org/dev/release.html#upload-ci. I have setup the svn pubsub for Metamodel so you need to drop the artifacts to https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/incubator/metamodel/ under new directory metamodel-4.0.0-incubating. 5. Release to Maven staging repo. 6. Announce it in the dev list. 7. Update the website with release note of the new release. 8. Document the steps you did to let the next RE have smoother process.
