Anyway I think Enrique comments could help: is Enrique subscribed to
MINA list or should we CC again to directory?

I never wanted to implement a DNS library. But, like others here, I
had some issues with the existing DNS capabilities and I hit a wall
w.r.t. responsiveness.

My main interest is in completing some higher-lever integration use
cases for network infrastructure. I'm thinking of the interplay of
DHCP and DDNS, the ability to store Kerberos/LDAP service lookup info
in SRV records, and the ability to use Kerberos to protect DNS. Of
course, I'd like to make this easy for users with as much
automatically happening as possible. As Alex K mentioned we have
triggers and interceptors for this sort of thing in Directory. So,
putting it bluntly, the less reusable library work I have to do, the
better.

Regarding DNS itself, I am most interested in the security pieces and
can add the most value there, in particular DNSSEC and TSIG w/
Kerberos.
