Gabriele Kahlout commented on MNBMODULE-113:
--------------------------------------------
"icon element: Contains an HTTP URL to an image file in either GIF or JPEG
format. The icons are used to represents the application
* during launch when Java Web Start presents the application to the user;
* in the Java Application Cache Viewer;
* in desktop shortcuts.
". This where I'm looking for the official spec .

According to it.png is not allowed. The icons generated by branding are indeed
.gif. The suggested patch uses those, making development consistent with the
interface.

> So far the icon used for a JWS nb app is master.jnlp expected in the target
> folder, which is cleaned.
> The branding icon and splash are not used.
> Attached path uses the splash, which is expected in branding resources as
> well as the icon image (frame32).
> Tested on two projects:
> 1. new maven project from dev ide.
> 2. memorizeasy.com
